Job Summary
The Sales Training Manager delivers and manages the training for Sales (e.g., Account Executives, Inside Sales Executives, Enterprise Account Managers, etc.). He/She develops and revises the program curriculum. This position sets the training plans and manages the training program schedule, enrollment, and logistics. This position manages and monitors the training budget. He/She delivers certification training to sales trainers. This position manages UPS Sales Training Team. This position will be based in the United Arab Emirates.
Delivers Sales Training:
  • Delivers training of core sales programs to increase business acumen of field sales’ resources and to ensure a solid base understanding of the knowledge of products and systems for effectively performing job duties.
  • Develops Sales Training resources to become certified sales trainers and to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Attends training sessions to observe newly certified sales trainers and to evaluate the delivery, style, and effectiveness of core content.
  • Provides feedback (i.e., oral and written) to sales trainers to increase effectiveness.
  • Creates, maintains, and distributes Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) surveys to ensure high levels of satisfaction and effectiveness in the field.
Manages the Program Schedule, Logistics, and Enrollment:
  • Develops the annual class schedule to ensure training needs are met across the country.
  • Monitors and manages training session logistics to ensure materials are available and transportation and accommodations are handled and accurate.
  • Coordinates training locations to ensure regions and districts have their training needs and requirements met.
  • Negotiates rates (e.g., room accommodations, food, parking, meeting rooms, audio-visual [AV] equipment, transportation, etc.) with hotels to maintain consistency and to remain within the budget.
  • Monitors and maintains the learning assessment web site to ensure participants’ data is accurate and current and to provide Account Supervisors the access to required assessments and courses.
Develops Program Curricula:
  • Identifies needs for sales excellence to ensure the training results in a return-on-investment and to increase skills and knowledge of the sales force.
  • Develops core sales competencies to ensure training participants develop necessary skills for success with UPS’s customers.
  • Evaluates and revises sales training curriculums and manuals to ensure the appropriate message and current knowledge (i.e., products and services) is transferred to participants.
  • Collaborates with sales training vendors to create and refine training materials.
  • Communicates updates (e.g., schedules, timelines, training programs, agendas, etc.) to regions and districts to meet the needs of the changing environment and to ensure current information is provided.
Manages and Develops Others:
  • Manages resources and people processes (e.g., Performance Management, Career Development, Training, Staffing, etc.) to ensure the day to day administration of processes and formal procedures.
  • Identifies individual and team skill gaps and developmental opportunities (e.g., training, special assignments, conferences, projects, etc.) to facilitate individual and team development.
  • Ensures that direct and indirect reports have documented career goals and detailed plans for achieving these goals to develop them personally and professionally.
  • Conducts frequent performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner to facilitate open communication and encourage continuous performance improvement.
  • Holds others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals.
  • Resolves individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS’s policies and procedures in a timely manner to motivate and foster teamwork.
  • Coaches others and provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance.
  • Identifies opportunities to involve others in new and challenging work assignments and/or rotations that advance the skills and capabilities of individuals and the organization.
  • Makes salary recommendations to reward employee performance.
Manages and Monitors the Training Budget:
  • Collaborates with the Director of Sales Training and Sales Training senior management to provide input (e.g., costs for materials, facilities, etc.) for the budget.
  • Monitors and manages the budget to ensure costs are within the budget plan.
  • Tracks, monitors, and approves expenses to forecast annual expenses and to make necessary adjustments.
  • Monitors and manages the inventory (i.e., class materials) to ensure costs are within the budget plan.
  • Manages requirements (e.g., transportation, food, AV, room accommodations, meeting rooms, etc.) for training sessions to ensure cost efficiency and program effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: Post Graduate in Sales & Marketing / Graduate in any stream
  • Experience: Over 4 years of experience In sales and logistics Industry, working on the Sales Process, Business Dev, Marketing, Training in Sales /Operations
  • Specific Knowledge: Good communication and interpersonal skills. Inclination towards pursuing coaching and training as full-time career.
  • Business Understanding: Should Have Basic Knowledge Of Transportation And Logistics Industry.
