The Middle East & Turkey Region (MET) has approximately 300 employees and annual turnover of €55m. MET is led by the Market Region Manager and consists of two factories producing steel and wooden commercial doors in Dubai, and sales sub-regions across the GCC, Egypt, Turkey and Central Asia (STAN). Each sub-region is led by a VP with local finance resources in place.

The Role:

Reporting to MRM Middle East & Turkey, the ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, company audits, compliance, banking relationships and maintenance of a strong internal controls environment. He/she will collaborate with the MRM and the executive team to make decisions regarding the company’s financial strategy and operations. The candidate will possess a strong background in Finance and Management.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Be a strong business partner to the MRM. Provide solid financial and business support advice to achieve company financial objectives and targets.
  • Demonstrate clear leadership skills in financial management across a multi discipline team.
  • To manage reporting for the six legal entities and two branch offices.
  • To consolidate reporting and prepare the regional budgets and forecasts in line with Group rules and within the deadlines.
  • To ensure quality and in time reporting and analysis of financial and operational trends, provide regular analysis of KPI´s and initiate improvements.
  • To ensure consistency with, and fulfilling of Group and Divisional internal reporting requirements.
  • To oversee short and long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with regional strategic plans.
  • To drive cash flow management together with optimization of working capital with a focus on accounts receivables collections.
  • Identification, analysis and valuation of growth alternatives through acquisitions. M&A being a key growth driver for ASSA ABLOY.
  • To be the Compliance Officer for MET with specific responsibilities for Export Control, Anti Trust and Anti Bribery compliance issues in cooperation with HR.
  • To manage all legal issues within MET, in cooperation with HR for what concerns employees related legal issues.
  • To manage IT developments in the Regions with special focus on Seamless and the upcoming ERP upgrade.

Education, Work Experience and Personal Qualities

  • At least BA in Finance, an MBA will be an advantage
  • A minimum of 10 years broad-based experience with at least 5 years experience in a senior finance role. Specific experience working in the Middle East is desired.
  • Have the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment
  • Experience in finance management and controlling in manufacturing companies.
  • Self-organized, accountable, structured and target driven approach.
  • Used to handling demanding reporting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including Power Point.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Windows Office.
  • Experience of HFM as a reporting tool is an advantage.
  • Prepared to travel within the region and occasionally outside of it.
  • Excellent English.
