The Marketing Manager, Obesity & Metabolic Health, CEMA or Disease State Manager is responsible for driving procedural adoption and addressing and overcoming barriers to adoption of new technologies on the account level in the field of Obesity & Metabolic Health within whole CEMA market.
The Marketing Manager, Obesity & Metabolic Health, CEMA is working closely with the in country Sales & Product Specialist / Manager Teams, local Market Developer(s) & Disease State Specialist(s) / Manager(s), regional Market Development & Disease State Leader, Reimbursement&Market Access team, Medical Science Liaisons, other relevant BU’s in Medtronic, as well as Commercial Operations.

The position reports directly to Country Market Development Manager, MITG .

A Day in the Life
We offer you a role where you will:
  • Expand Market, by:
    • Drive the execution of country PAA action plans with supervision of MDM
    • Create and own the country marketing plan for his/her disease state
    • Lead national market & account & stakeholder & KOL and medical society mapping
    • Drive training programs to increase skillset of physicians on related procedures with product marketing and T&E team members
    • Drive screening programs reducing complexity of cases
    • Lead clinical indication expansion activities to treat more patients
    • Leverage cross-functional resources
    • Work with private insurance companies, public payer body and MoH to identify opportunites for wider healthcare coverage and procedural reimbursement
    • Contribute to executing actions to overcome the adoption of new standards of care
    • Enhance multi-stakeholder awareness to overcome social stigmas and increase patient access
  • Protect and increase market share, by:
    • KOL Management and focus on Key accounts at country level
    • Account selection and prioritization for action plans creation incl. short, medium, long term goals
    • Executing, tracking and measuring of action plan goals
    • Drive local & national symposiums, educational events and advisory board meetings & organizations with product marketeers and related stakeholders
  • Drive adoption of high quality Disease state management programs through :
    • Standardizing procedural approaches
    • Full product portfolio
    • ERAS, BBC and Fast Track approaches
    • VBHC partnerships and IHS solutions
  • Innovate Therapy by:
    • Develop in-depth procedural knowledge
    • Help drive adoption of best clinical practices incl. but not limited to:
    • Identifying multi-disciplinary team clinical training needs and coordinate appropriate account selection
    • Follow-up post-training to ensure procedural adoption
    • Coordinate and leverage product specialists for in-service product trainings
    • Stay on top of changes in the field bariatric surgery and other clinical therapies for obesity
    • Local Bariatric Congresses and Society management
    • Highlight relevant product/procedural developments to internal training department
MUST HAVE
  • B.A degree in a business relevant discipline.
  • Fluency in English and local language.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Sales / Key Account management or Market Development in the Medical Devices industry.
  • Solid understanding of in country customer & competitive landscape, and relevant market trends affecting his assigned disease state / related procedures.
  • Possesses in depth disease state & procedural understanding, understands the pricing impact on profitability, uses appropriate metrics to measure performance of assigned disease state & related procedures.
NICE TO HAVE
  • Additional (Product) Marketing experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment a big plus.
Travel Required:
Willingness to travel 40 – 60% of time.
