Head of Planning & Buying Strategy
To develop and maintain stock holding and optimised pricing strategies for retail and trade vehicle inventory.
Establish robust processes and procedures using automated tools and utilising market and internal data maximise sales volume, margin and stock turn days by implementing disciplined pricing tactics, efficient stock management and effective sales channel management.
Set and monitor pre- agreed KPI’s with vehicle preparation suppliers including turnaround time standards, cost targets and quality control.
Manage buying, Trade & Export team to achieve buying targets.
Set prices for retail stocks as per model, variant, year and sales channel to achieve revenue and volume targets and to increase market share by applying appropriate support and tactical activities.
Closely monitor the movement of stocks and apply price revisions, discounts and offers to ensure optimum stock turnover and thus reduction in stock age.
Match Sales & Stock Budget.
Ensure the retail stock is photographed and published on our website within set business KPI, ensuring the highest standards of presentation are achieved.
Fully functioning, managing & develop buying, Trade and Export team
To support the entire vehicle logistics team to ensure vehicles are moved to the workshop and branches on a timely and cost- effective manner.
Maintain close relationship with the workshop team to ensure cars are prepared within the required costs and approve additional costs as and when required.
Based on market sentiment identify the optimum used car stock profile and purchase prices for acquisition.
Support HR strategy for performance management, development plans and employee engagement. Including recruitment, training, succession planning, motivation and performance culture.
Ad Hoc: Represent the business as required as a member of the Al Futtaim Automotive Residual Value Committee.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: Degree is an advantage
Over 5 years work experience in a multinational or multi brand automotive company
Retail or Distributor experience.
Pre- Owned dealership & Used car experience is an advantage is an advantage
Working experience in Pricing or revenue analysis in Automotive.
Sales Or buying management Experience.
