What we are looking for: Senior Buyer
As a key member of the team, the Senior Buyer will manage the open- to- buy deployment, product selection, ensuring point of sales are filled commercially and the brand image is well executed.
What you will do:
Ensure conformity of catalog management and assortment planning
Prepare seasonal optimal assortment plan by category for each type of store, following brand’s guidelines and work closely with the merchandise team accordingly
Regular visits to the stores
Conduct post- buying debriefings with store floor employees to ensure that the assortment is explained
Review of assortment of visible stock
Provide insights for the purchase budget
Review sell- thru targets by categories
Representing the brand in its respective categories according to the merchandising plan for the given market
Make an end- to- end calendar for the buying season (pre- buying, buying and post- buying)
Ensure that the local merchandise team and the commercial teams receive all information from the supplier available before buying
Ensure agreement with commercial team during/after pre- buying sessions on a store by store parameters and alignment on cross selling ratios per categories as well as color split by size, size breakdown and average retail
Validate product cancellations/substitutions proposed by supplier vs order placed
Maintain clear ratio of categories
Support in Inventory management
What you need to succeed in this role:
A minimum of 8 years of relevant buying experience with at least 4 years in a similar senior role with luxury fashion brands in the Middle East
Able to nurture relationships with key stakeholders
Solid 360 experience in pre- buying stage to the post buying stage including merchandise and inventory
Experience with multi channeled brand
Self- aware, with the appropriate leadership skills to inspire high performing teams
Experience of working in a fast- pace and complex environment
Exceptional communication, relationship- building, and project management skills
