The Quality & HSE Engineer will be responsible to ensure products quality through verification of form, fit and function as well as process adherence. In addition, drive strong HSE processes by following the country, site and Honeywell standards. They are encouraged to work according to the site shift schedule as agreed by the site leader.

They will closely work with the operation team, will generate vital records, analyze data and drive corrective and preventive actions in both quality & HSE aspects. They will also work with third party auditor for certification of production line and with customer for factory acceptance test. They will train operation team for effective deployment of BIQ and report overall quality metrics on dash board.


Quality Part:

Ensuring Product quality through product and process audits

Maintain and generate records in line with Quality Action Plan

Train and improve people skill on problem solving and deployment of BIQ

Capture Customer PPM, Analyze root cause and drive resolution through RCA- CA- PA

Monitor and improve process capability

Deploy control plan to keep process stable

Implement BIQ culture & Support HOS Deployment

Drive continuous improvement using Six sigma, Lean and Kaizen methodology

Timely reporting of line Growth Metric on dash board

Supervising the progress of corrective action in e- quality and driving for timely closure

Compliance to requirement of product certification audits by customer & third party

Inward goods inspection. Testing of Finished products and Marshalling cabinets

Calibration activity co- ordination with calibration agency

Validation of Test Set Up

HSE Part:

Develops, recommends and implements practical, functional approaches to resolve safety, health and environmental issues in support of location strategies for achieving customer happiness and regulatory/policy compliance.

Provides advice on safety, health and environmental concerns and works with employees at all interpersonal levels to affect corrective action strategies. Serves as adviser to safety committees.

Delivers safety, health and environment training on required regulatory, corporate and site- specific topics.

Reviews current and proposed regulations/corporate requirements and recommends appropriate program measures to ensure compliance.

Serves as the site HSE audit Coordinator to ensure continuous improvement and ongoing certification.

Drives strong HSE integration into HOS “ Honeywell Operation System” across business and site. Work closely with regional and site HOS leaders in this regard.

Coordinates loss prevention insurance reviews and associated action plans. Oversees Inspection, repairs and maintenance of site alarm, sprinkler and access control systems. Arranges for system tests as the need arises by government regulations, NFPA and company requirements.

Utilizes six- sigma tools and behavior- based safety strategies to guide injury prevention efforts.

Facilitates root cause analyses of significant injuries and incidents. Conducts investigations into incidents involving any violations and prepares appropriate written reports.

Conducts internal safety, health and environmental audits to verify compliance levels. Evaluates site HSE management system, procedures and processes and implements changes to improve efficiency.

Develops site specific safety, health, and environment policies/procedures and ensures that requirements are optimally coordinated into standard operating procedures.

Provides expertise during concept and design phases of products and manufacturing processes to ensure that sound safety and health control methodologies are integrated in design. Conducts process hazard assessments as warranted.

Performs ergonomic assessments and provides technical guidance to employees to minimize risks associated with material handling, repetitive motion and workstation design.

Reviews new chemicals from a safety and health perspective and ensures appropriate controls are established prior to introduction into the workplace.


Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent


Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities

Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization

Some technical training or courses

Good analytical and creative problem solving skill

Effective written and verbal communication

Proficient use in software programs such as Microsoft Office

Knowledge of root cause analysis

Proficient in technical software such as SAP

Experience in audits and analytical testing
