About the role
GEMS World Academy are recruiting an experienced Manager of School Operations to join the team.
This role provides flexible support to the Academy staff regarding the management, operation, maintenance and security of the site and building in order to provide an appropriate community-learning environment as required by the Governing Body and Principal.
With the Operations Director, the post-holder will share responsibility for policies, decision-making processes and strategic planning.
The successful candidate will realise the ethos of a 21st century learning organisation with high expectations of students and staff, and a positive approach to internationalism, entrepreneurialism and innovation.
Applicants should have experience of the following:
- Keyholder responsibilities, including securing buildings
- Carrying out risk assessments
- Line management of staff
- Managing resources within budget
- Supervision of contractors
- Working within an educational environment
